Honoring the Great Work in DNA Testing and Reconciliation
We do hope you are all doing well. The Igbo festival was GREAT! The naming ceremony was led by Chief John Nnia Nwodo, the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo. Ohanaeze Ndigbo represents all igbo communities in and outside of Nigeria. The Conductress for the naming ceremony was AdaEze Naja Chinyere Njoku, the Founder of DNA Tested African Descendants. The Master of Ceremony was Dr. Stephen Uche, DGS, Culture and Vice Chair of the Festival Planning Committee. The Royals were there in their amazing regalia, representing many Igbo States of Nigeria and countries where Igbos reside abroad. This was truly a historical event. Honorable Mazi Chudi Asidianyi, the Chairman of The Festival Planning Committee was busy, ensuring that all went well.
Chief John Nwodo led in singing to each DNA tested Igbo receiving their names. This was his first visit to the Igbo Village in Staunton, Virginia. In honor of his visit to the USA, each royal wore a red sash. He blessed them all and each Royal gathered around and touched those receiving their names.
We presented Ichie Akuma Kalu Njoku, an Igbo Royal of Nigeria, with a plaque, thanking him for his hard work and dedication. He is a founding father of the Igbo Village. He has researched and provided us with a wealth of knowledge about Igboland. He is the 1st CISA (Council of Igbo States in the Americas) Officer to take the DNA test. He was able to help over 3000 families learn that we have igbo ancestry.
The plaque was designed by Ichie Akuma Kalu Njoku's DNA cousins, Lonnie Riley and Naja Chinyere Njoku.
AdaEze Naja Chinyere Njoku was presented with an award for her hard work and dedication in reconnecting DNA Tested African Descendants with their African culture. This was presented on behalf of CISA, by the President of CISA, Dr. Edward Nwachi and Dr. Ichie Akuma Kalu Njoku.
There are so many leaders and members of CISA to thank! We thank you all!!
Just to Clarify
We are a community of volunteers focused on the ACRO concept. ACRO means African Culture and Reconciliation Organization. We are NOT a DNA testing company. You must DNA test on your own.
We facilitate reconciliation of the DNA Tested African Diaspora and their African ethnic groups of ancestry. We coordinate cultural reception and integration via language classes, African Naming Ceremonies and other enriching events after you have received your results. We provide you with FREE 3rd party tools for YOU to research in order to determine which DNA Testing company and /or 3rd party tools to use. We provide helpful templates for initial communications with your DNA matches as well as methods on how to get the most out of your test results. We can help you make an informed decision.
Until Next Time.......
